Work Description: Law Clerks for EEOC Administrative Judges in Washington, D.C.:

• Draft rulings on motions involving discovery disputes, evidentiary matters, and witnesses; draft summary judgment decisions and decisions following hearings.
• Conduct legal research on complex issues; prepare legal memoranda analyzing discrimination cases involving Title VII, ADA, ADEA, and EPA.
• Assist in settlement conferences, pre-hearing conferences, and hearings.

Requirements:

• Completion of two or more of the following courses: civil procedure, legal research and writing, evidence, trial practice.
• Excellent writing skills, energetic attitude and interest in performing substantive legal work.

Salary: Unpaid. Academic credit or funding may be available through law school.

Starting date: Several positions are available at the beginning of the summer and each semester (spring and fall).
