EEOC Chair Cari Dominguez to Address Hundreds of Federal Officials at National EXCEL Program

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced today that its annual federal sector EXCEL program for government employees, managers, and union officials will be held August 26 through August 29, 2003, at the Bally's Park Place Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

EXCEL is the EEOC's premiere federal sector law conference of its kind and provides an interactive educational forum for examining contemporary leadership, effective and low-cost dispute resolution approaches, and other equal employment opportunity and merit systems issues and trends nationwide.

EEOC Chair Cari M. Dominguez will speak at the conference, which includes presentations by top-ranking officials from more than 10 other federal agencies, EEOC staff, and other subject matter experts. The conference theme is: Assuring the Freedom to Compete In the Changing Landscape of the Federal Workplace.

Conference issues include, but are not limited to: the role of the Senior Executive Service in promoting equal employment opportunity; workplace violence; recruiting; the model EEO office; retaliation; investigations; trends in government employment; the Americans with Disabilities Act; and Merit System Protection Board and EEOC policies and case updates. The national conference is presented by EEOC's Baltimore, Cleveland, New York, and Philadelphia District Offices, with support from Washington, D.C. Headquarters staff.
