EEOC ON WEDNESDAY TO CONSIDER NEW COMPLIANCE MANUAL SECTION ON RACE AND COLOR DISCRIMINATION

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) will hold its next public meeting on Wednesday, April 19, at 10:00 a.m. (Eastern Time), at agency headquarters, 1801 L Street, N.W. In accordance with the Sunshine Act, the following matters are scheduled for consideration during the open session of the meeting:

  • Announcement of Notation Votes
  • New Compliance Manual Section updating guidance on how Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act prohibits employment discrimination on the bases on race and color. Following opening remarks from EEOC Chair Cari M. Dominguez and Commissioners, as well as a presentation by agency staff, the Commission is scheduled to hear from invited panelists.
