||Office Hours: The Chicago District Office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Everyone visiting our offices must present a photo ID at the building security desk, on the third floor.
Individuals wishing to file charges of discrimination should schedule an interview for time slots available at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday, except federal holidays. We strongly encourage you to schedule your interview through the online system described below.
While walk-ins are accepted until 11:30 am, scheduling an interview is strongly recommended and individuals with appointments, who arrive on time, will be given priority over walk-ins. Individuals with an appointment, who arrive late 15 minutes or more, will be treated as a walk-in.
If you have a disability which prevents you from being interviewed in person, you require an interpreter or live outside the Chicago commuting area, a telephone interview can be arranged, at 8:45 or 10:45, by calling 312-869-8010. Please say and spell your first and last name, the number where you can be reached between the hours of 8:30am and 4:00pm and provide an email address if you have one.
As of March 13, 2017, the Chicago District Office is part of a program that allows individuals to submit online inquiries and online requests for intake interviews with EEOC. We encourage individuals to use the online system.
